Just a few blocks from the inn lies Canada's immigration museum
featuring the stories of new Canadians entering the country between 1928
and 1971.
D. Alexander Keith's Brewery, 1496 Lower Water Street
Historic beer brewery dating back to 1820. The complex includes
restaurants, a pub, brewery tours and North America's oldest Farmer's
Market on Saturdays from 7 AM to 1 PM.
E. Citadel Hill Fortress, corner of Brunswick and Sackville Street
Great views of the city and harbour can be enjoyed here. This National
Historic Site features a museum explaining the city's defenses for the
last 200 years and a glimpse into the past through re-enactments and
tours.
F. Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, 1723 Hollis Street
The AGNS offers a tour through the rich visual arts history of Nova
Scotia and the Atlantic region. There is a also a gallery shop and cafe.
G. Public Gardens, Spring Garden Road and South Park Street
A formal Victorian garden which opened in 1867. The bandstand is a
popular spot to take in a free lunch time concert.
